The Kanger SSOCC coils are the stainless Steel version of the Kanger OCC coils, hence the abbreviation: SSOCC. The SSOCC coils differ from the older OCC ones as they replace the nichrome wire with stainless steel wire and their shape is more user friendly. The new SSOCC coils are rounder and smaller in shape so they take up less space than the previous OCC ones. These new type of coils will soon replace all Kanger coils across the subohm range (Nebox/Topbox etc). The SSOCC coils are backwards compatible and will work in any tank that currently takes the OCC coils.
